Stampin' Up! Count On Me Penguins Happy Birthday Card

Today I share with you a cute card that is sure to bring a smile to your recipient, no matter the age!   Click her for Supplies List     I made this card to celebrate my second born son, Nathan, who turned seventeen years old this week. Our family tradition is that the boys get some money attached to their birthday cards, the same amount as their age. I am loving the Celebrations Tag Dies because I can make a very cute gift card holder very quickly with the tag die included. I simply adhered it to the back of  my card, with the ribbon peeking through at the top of the card. Pull up the ribbon to reveal the hidden treasure!         As always, if you have any questions, I am happy to help you. Peace To You in Night of Navy for Monochromatic Monday Card

Today, I have this stunning Christmas card to share with you for Monochromatic Monday!     The featured colour today, Night of Navy, is a colour I love for its versatility. It lends itself well for a show stopper star of any card, but it also complements other colours well. If you don't have this colour in your stash, make sure you get this in your next order.   The Peace To You stamp set two larger-sized images of a church in snowfall and the Nativity scene with Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus. For me, it does evoke a sense of peace just looking at the images. And that is what we want to share with our card recipients, huh? We never know what turmoils within each person, no matter they be smiling or not. But we can take a moment to share with them a card that could possibly bring a moment, even just a moment, of peace.      I shared the tutorial for this vertical fun fold card in Week 1 of my 12 Weeks of Christmas Series. If you haven't subscribed to it, you can still do so her

Fitting Florets in Garden Green for Monochromatic Monday Card

Psst - I have a sneak peek of some of the products in the Fitting Florets Collection, coming soon !     Firstly, let me give some details about how you can make this card too.  I started with equal sized strips 2.5cm x 9.5cm (1" x 3-3/4") - 2 x Basic White strips, and 3 x Garden Green strips. Then I used a blending brush to add Garden Green ink to four of the strips, to create an ombre look. The middle strip on the card is uninked Garden Green cardstock. For the random water spots, I flicked some water and then also Wink of Stella Glitter at random places over the strips. Last year, my Father in law passed away unexpectedly before Christmas so I was acutely aware that the festivities can be a particularly lonely and unfulfilling time for those bereaved. I think a card like the one I share today acknowledges their loss and in the midst of joyful family gatherings, lets them know we see them and their pain. That we care and love them, and that we wish peace for their hurting

Campology in Sahara Sand for Monochromatic Monday Card

What's not to light about a Hurricane Lantern, right? (hehe, that play on words is intentional!) Almost as cheesy as "You Brighten My Path"? Nonetheless, I like it! :-)   Shop Supplies List Here     So it's Sahara Sand for Monochromatic Monday Card today. I was inspired by a Brian King card so I heat embossed the Hurricane Lantern image in Silver. I'm now thinking maybe I should have embossed the sentiment too (which I see now isn't perfectly straight - oops!) Well, now you know what it looks like stamped in Sahara Sand, so when you make your version, you can emboss in Silver :-)   Why Monochromatic Monday?   Did you know Stampin' Up! offers at least 50 colours for all your creative work? DIY Card Kit with Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper

Here is my October DIY Kits, featuring the nostalgia and fairytale magic that is the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper.   For more general information about the DIY Card Kits I offer, please click here.     The Storybook Gnomes DSP is a beautiful set of papers, and there are lovely options for those who don't like gnomes. Let's take a closer look at the 12 designs on the papers: You will need some sentiment stamps to complete the cards. This is because in compliance with Stampin' Up! policy, I cannot include stamped images/sentiments in kits. So just use a stamp that you already have and if you don't, I can help - just add on to your order some stamps. For my sample cards, I have used the Joyful Christmas sentiment from Merriest Moments stamp set . Meadow Dies in Pear Pizzazz for Monochromatic Monday Card

Did you know you can use your diecuts as stencils? Click here for Supplies List     Such a pretty card, especially when light hits it, as then you can see how it glitters. It was a little tricky to capture the sparkles effect from the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, but I think the photo here does it some justice. I have used an easy technique for this card. Place your diecut on the card stock, then carefully sponge on ink. Lift up your diecut and ta da, it looks like you have stamped an image on your card.   Why Monochromatic Monday?   Did you know Stampin' Up! offers at least 50 colours for all your creative work?
