Wishes from The Gang's All Meer

Two days till Christmas! Isn't this the cutest stamp??? The Gang's All Meer is a stamp set you can only get during Sale-a-bration which begins on 3rd January, and the best part of it is that it is one of the FREE items you may choose when you order a minimum of $110. I just couldn't wait till the New Year to show you this stamp set and so I made some Christmas cards with it. The stamp I used actually only has 5 meerkats, so in order to achieve this look I have used the Masking Technique. I do not have a santa hat stamp image so I hand drawn and coloured in the santa hats, then used our Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to add the white fur and pompoms. (ps: I just saw that we have sold out of this Puff Paint product!) Below is another version - this time with less meerkats and instead of hand drawing on the santa hats, I used the party hat stamp that comes in the stamp set. How cute are these meerkat carolers singing Joy To The World!   Below is ve

Let It Snow Dashing Deer

A handmade Christmas card to love! Just a few elements came together to make this beautiful card: 1. a pattern paper from the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper (also other cards I have been making with these papers here and here ) matted on to either Pool Party or Crumb Cake card base; 2. the vellum was punched out using the 2" circle punch and embossed with the Scripty 3D embossing folder . 3. The focal point, the regal Real Red reindeer is from the Dashing Deer stamp set , and cut with its coordinating die from the Detailed Deer dies set.  4. The "holly" were diecuts out of the Christmas Layers Dies set dotted with red berries aka metallic pearls that I have coloured with Real Red Stampin Blends . 5. Lastly, the sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. Easy as does it ! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you come back again soon, I have more Christmas cards to share ! Blessings, M xx

Perfectly Plaid Wreath

An acorn wreath - who would have thought of this! 💗 This is almost a complete CASE of Krista Frattin's card which she showed us in the Crafty Carrot Collective back in October. The acorn images were the one I could not think of how to use on a card, so when Krista showed her idea - man, I was like, get this made straightaway! (Yes, I have had this post in the draft waiting to go live, since October! Oh well, better late than never.) Supplies used: Stamps: Perfectly Plaid (#149418) Ink: Sahara Sand, Crumbed Cake,  Soft Suede, Early Espresso Paper: Crumbed Cake Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Gold Foil Card Stock, Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper Dies: Merry Christmas Other: Linen Thread, Metallic Pearls, Aqua Painter

#simplestamping Stampin' Up! Let it Snow Christmas

Hello from sunny Auckland, New Zealand! It's always a bit of a discord to make and send snowy Christmas cards locally but I simply can't help it. It may be because I have never experienced a White Christmas that all things snowy and sparkly is magical and very Christmassy for me. And well, it's pretty hot here at the moment, so I'm sure my recipients would be transported to a dreamy cold place when they first open their mail - even if only for a brief moment! Well this year Stampin' Up! offers a very cute set of Designer Series Paper called Let It Snow which I have used to very quickly and simply make a bunch of fun Christmas cards. Stamps (any Christmas greeting, and "Thinking of you" is always appropriate for any occasion!), ink (featuring Blueberry Bushel) and paper. That's all you need, y'all! #simplestamping, Stamps/ink/paper- have you given it a go? Whether you are a beginner stamper or a seasoned and avid stamper,  #simplestamp

Perfectly Plaid Winter Forest Woodland Scene

Welcome back! Today's card is one that I made after seeing Sharon Armstrong's card. It is simple, effective and sparkly, and who doesn't like a sparkly Christmas card! Notice that there is only one colour, Shaded Spruce, used (except for the sentiment in Tuxedo Black). By using the Stamping Off Technique (stamp without re-inking), you can get different shades of the one colour. Simple sure goes a long way. This is a great card if you are just starting out in your stamping journey and do not have a huge amount of colour choices at your disposal. Supplies used : Stamp set: Perfectly Plaid (#149418) Punch: Pine Tree (#149521) Paper: Shaded Spruce Card Stock (#147006), Whisper White Card Stock (#106549) Ink: Shaded Spruce (#147088), Tuxedo Memento Black (#132708) Other: Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Clear (#141897), Stampin' Glitter Dazzling Diamonds (#133751), Shimmery Crystal Effects (#150892), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755), Stampin' Dimensiona

Perfectly Plaid Bundle Merry Christmas

Welcome back! Today's card uses one of the "go-to" sketch designs I fall back on time and time again. Simple, yet quite effective - great for when you are time poor and don't have much time to make a more layered card with more interesting details and texture, or when you have only a few basic supplies. Remember this card ? On that card I had trimmed the Wrapped In Plaid paper for the mat, and the remainder of the paper gets used on this card, as the background panel! With four sheets of this pattern in the Wrapped In Plaid 6' x 6" pack (#149596), you can punch out a total of 44 trees using the Pine Tree Punch (#149521) - no stamping needed even, so cool! Ta-da, another simple Christmas card set that you can churn out in no time at all. There are 12 double sided designs so you'll get at least 24 different versions of this card. When you have quite enough Christmas cards, then how about swapping out the tree image and the sentiment

Perfectly Plaid Bundle Tale of Three Trees

Today I'm sharing one of my favourite style of cards to make - Clean and Simple (CAS). I just love all that white space!   This Fiona Rozario inspired card features three of the six products in the Wrapped in Plaid Suite (#153326). I punched out the two Whisper White trees with the Pine Tree Punch (#149521) so that the pattern on the Wrapped in Plaid 6" x 6" DSP (#149596) is shown through. Now here's a paper saving TIP: with so much of the DSP piece being hidden, you can easily punch out a tree. That is where the middle tree is from, with the reverse side of it being featured on the card. With 12 double sided designs ie 24 patterns to choose from, you will have a set of Christmas cards done in no time! Oooh, did I hear you ask what is that Cherry Cobbler twine? You're right, that is not in our catalogue! Here's TIP #2 today: you only need the Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine (#124262) and then you can colour it with any o

Perfectly Plaid Special Day

Today's card is a CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit, or aka Copy and Share Everything). I love my friend Susan Wong's card , so when I realised I don't actually have the supplies she used for her card, I determined to try and replicate it using what I DO have. The Perfectly Plaid stamp set happened to be the latest stamp set I purchased so I went a-playing. Yes, I made a non Christmas card with the Perfectly Plaid stamp set! Perfectly Plaid #149418 Can you spot the stamp I used to create the DIY patterned paper? Yes, it's the tree stamp on the left! The wreath was made with the floral image stamped from the Hold On to Hope stamp set, and die cut from the coordinating die in the Cross Of Hope dies. I love the versatile sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set because to me, it can work as a Birthday or Wedding sentiment. To finish off the card, I added a bit of twine and sequins, scattered around to keep with the wreath theme. Peren

A Picture Perfect Birthday card with 95 wishes

My mum requested a card for her friend turning 95 years old. Wow! This is a milestone that I am so glad will be well celebrated by her friends and family.   My mum requested a "large size" card. Since I myself find over-sized cards cumbersome to store (ahh, yes, I am making the huge assumption that the card will be kept for keepsakes),  I suggested to her this accordion style card instead. Actually, it does open up, if so desired, for display like this: Yes, if you care to count the candles, there are 95 of them!   I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest made by fellow Stamin' Up! Demonstrator Brandi Mahon. I didn't use her tutorial as I knew how to make an accordion card and the colours I used were Pool Party, Crushed Curry and retired colours of Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Peekaboo Peach (mainly colours from the retired Picture Perfect Party DSP). ps: Just heard from my Mum that the reci

Magnolia Just Add Ink #464

Scripty 3D Daisy Stitched Labels CTS#329

What do ya do when you are itching to make a card with all the goodies you have to play with but have no idea where to begin? I turn to card challenges to give me a starting point, to give me a direction. It's like when you tackle a puzzle by finding the corner pieces. For today's card, I turned to the current/latest CAS(E) this Sketch #329 challenge. CAS{E} this Sketch #329 This sketch was the perfect opportunity to use the new Scripty 3D embossing folder and I had also seen Krista Frattin's recent Stampin' Dolce project using the swiping technique (literally, take the ink pad and swipe down the card!), so I tried it with one of the new In Colors - Seaside Spray on the embossed Very Vanilla. I looked in my stash of "scrap/leftover from previous projects" and picked out the stitched label shape to use, only I decided I wanted some more colour so I cut out a new one in Soft Sea Foam. I had three sentiments (all stamped in Mossy Meadow)

Bird Ballad Suite and Pop Up Slider Fancy Fold

Have you heard of the Slider Pop Up Fun Fold Card? This is so fun to make,  and what I taught in my June classes. Here is the WOW bit - pull the tab up - WATCH what happens when you pull the tab open...    Isn't it good? Ok, in one of the classes, one attendee pointed out that poor bird which keeps getting decapitated as the card is pulled up to reveal the secret message. Let it be said here - absolutely no birds were harmed in the making of this card 😀 Now, for the part I am excited about - here are the pictures of the cards my June class attendees made (although I now discovered I didn't take a photo of Sarah's card! ). Enjoy the feast, and I hope you are inspired to go now and make one of these slider pop up cards and/or use the Bird Ballad Suite.
