Stampin' With Michelle Pepper

These were inspired by Monica Gale, a UK demonstrator. You can see her card  here . Quite a few families in our local homeschool group are having new additions this year so I will be looking more closely at all the welcome baby stamp sets from Stampin Up. When I made these cards, I had no current baby stamp sets, hence I pulled out the retired Curvy Verses from storage. I love that sentiment: "One baby, many happy hearts." So true! Just a quick tip: while I like to use up every inch of the card stock, sometimes, when I punch out a shape, like the flower from the Blossom Punch, I keep in mind that I could use the "negative" side (see pic below) as well as the positive (the Blossom shape itself). For example, I could layer the negative over a piece of DSP or as in these baby cards, I used it as a matting layer. Thank you for visiting today.

I love the fun contemporary retro colour combination in the Retro Fresh Suite, so I decided to team that up with the Baby Tees Stampin' Wheel (#118621) to make this Baby card. This wheel is now in the Retiring List, so email me your order peppertime123@gmail.com (or purchase through my website). Retiring products can sell out very fast, so hopefully, you manage to nab a bargain or two before it's gone forever! I have a confession - I am not very good at using these wheels. It seems I can't wheel in straight lines. Thankfully, I found out quite early on how easy it is to convert it into a clear mount stamp by dismounting the rubber from the wheel and adhering it to the Clear-Mount Cling Foam (#124236). The other advantage is, I can actually cut this stamp up now to make 5 stamps of little baby tees. I used Blender Pens (#102845) to pick up the colours from the ink pad to colour the images in. It has been a busy February in that we had another camping trip, and I was also trying to sort out our homeschool curriculum this year. I got some crafting time in but I couldn't feature a project yet on the blog as it is for a Stamp Nation Swap. When the swaps come back to me, I will not only be able to blog about the card I made, but you, my blog readers, will have a feast for the eyes as I will show you all 14 cards the other participating swappers would have made! So watch this space.... Today's card I am a little late in featuring. It was made by Irene at my monthly class in February. Inspired by my sample, Irene took on the challenge in the class to make this one for her friend having a new baby. A posie of flowers, how cute!
