Wildflower Fields For My Neighbour

I am not sure how I feel about Facebook but I do like the fact that it notifies me when it is is my FB friends' birthday! Well, turned out that it was my neighbour's birthday yesterday, and I wished her Happy Birthday online, but that seemed to me to be so unfriendly because, well, you know, she is my neighbour!! So glad that I am in the business of card making and have all the supplies I need to make a card and a gift box to take to her and wish her Happy Birthday in person -with a hug. Rose Wonder Creative Inkers Team Swap

This is the card I made for the Card Swap last month at our team's Christmas Breakfast. As demonstrators, we were able to pre-order products that are in the new Occasions catalogue, and the great thing about participating in a card swap is that I just have to make multiples of one design, in this case, 18 cards but in return I get 18 different cards back from all the other 18 participants in the card swap. What a deal! Well, I chose to feature the Rose Wonder stamp set, combined with two of my favourite techniques - emboss resist and sponging. I heat emboss the rose image in white and then I use the sponge to colour the background of the card. The colours I used were Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise and Lost Lagoon. Can you see that glimmer? That is from the "Wink of Stella Brushes" - a must have item, I reckon.
