Today's card is a CASE of a card made by my fellow demonstrator friend who is also a Artisan Design Team member, Susan Wong. Here is the fun original card. I do like the way the card turned out even with all the changes, which started from one deviation: I chose to use the new Watermelon Wonder colour for the card base! Since it is such a bold colour, I decided not to mat the DSP layer (which is from the Cherry on Top DSP stack). Also, I felt the white bakers twine worked better than the linen thread against that bold colour.
I am submitting this card in this week's CASology #155 challenge:
The star of the show is of course the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. Not only does it have 22 photopolymer stamps in this set, and you can have so much fun with the images and sentiments, this stamp set also co-ordinates with the Tree Builder punch which is just awesome! The apple/cherry and teeny flower and the cupcake top on the card above are punched out from the punch.
Sprinkles of Life is also this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) stamp set. When children are not only not well, but have to stay in the hospital for treatment, to have their family be near them becomes possible with the Ronald McDonald House programme. So with each Sprinkles of Life stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! will donate $3.50 to RMHC. This is such a worthwhile cause. So much so, in fact, I too would like to match it and donate $3.50 to RMHC too, making it a total of $7 donated to RMHC for every Sprinkles of Life stamp set ordered from me.
