Merriest Moments Bundle

Imagine you're at my drive thru window: How would you like your cards? Would you like to upsize it?

Today I present to you three versions of the same card design using the Merriest Moments Bundle which includes stamps, dies and a hybrid embossing folder.

Have you heard of #simplestamping? When I think simple stamping, I think SIP - Stamps, Ink and Paper. It is a great concept for beginner stampers, especially when you are still building your tools and supplies. You can still create great cards with just the basics, ie stamps, ink and paper. Busy and on the go? No problem, you can make these cards too!

Stamp the various leaves in this stamp set in Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Cinnamon Cider directly on the card base down the left edge and bottom of the card.
Stamp the splatter stamp in Cinnamon Cider and/or Crumb Cake.
(Note, depending on how new - and therefore juicy - your ink pad is, you may need to stamp off once before stamping on to the card.)
Stamp the sentiment in Real Red.

Stamps, Ink and Paper - That's it, no fuss! (To get back to the drive thru analogy, this is your cheeseburger.)

In the next two cards, you will see examples of what other things you can add that will step up your card a little to a lot 😄 ("Make it a combo please." Would you like to upsize it? "Yes please!")

Essentially, this card is the same as the first card - I have just stepped it up by adding a Real Red layer. Now I know I may have unsettled those of you who likes things even and straight. But you see, you can have the Real Red mat evenly and squarely under the sentiment when you make YOUR card. And that is something to keep in mind. It is enough that you like the card you made - don't let anyone tell you it is not good enough!

Now when you have it all, then you can really step up your card in as many ways as you can imagine!

The Merriest Moments Bundle include stamp set, dies and a hybrid embossing folder! I just realised now as I write this that I didn't even use it all. That's ok, I think I will just emboss my envelope then!
As it is, there is a lot going on in my avid card here.

* I have added not just one layer (Real Red) but I have also added a Cinnamon Cider layer.
* I stamped the flowers not on the usual Basic White card stock but on Crumb Cake card stock.
* I added a sliver of pattern paper (the brick wall that you can see peeking out of
* the dog earred corner on the top right.
* I added some Gilded Gems to give some bling to this card.
* I added some ribbon behind the sentiment to add interest.
* As the stamps are photopolymer, that means the side the you normally stamp with can cling on to the acrylic block so that you can use the other side as an "outline" solid stamp. That's how I got that "blob" that I stamped the sentiment on.

There you have it - 3 versions of the same card. One was stepped up a little, the other stepped up quite a bit. I hope you have enjoyed my drive thru window experience today 😂

As always, if you have any questions, I am happy to help you.

Until next post, have fun stamping!
