I am so excited to be a Guest Designer for the Global Designer Project this week!
Over at GDP, it's a colour challenge this week:
I
love these colours individually, but confession: together as a combo, I
did find it tricky indeed! I am happy now, to have pushed through
out of my comfort zone.
I decided to use White Watercolour Pencil to
create some softness on my Balmy Blue flowers from Painted Poppies. I
die cut the leaves out of the Poppy Moments Dies in white then
watercoloured with Garden Green. I used a Memories and More 3x4 card
(retired) for the centre piece as it was in the right Mint Macaron
colour but that is easily replicable by embossing in White your choice
of sentiment then colour wash the background with Mint Macaron.
Bonus! I have a few elements that were either already in or about to go into the #scrapsoffthedesk pile - well, I was inspired to put together another card:
Have you done this lately - put together a card from scraps or things you cut and stamped for previous projects that you ended up not using? I hope you are inspired to now!
Be sure to go to the GDP website to check out all the beautiful projects from the regular designers and also from participants. I'd love to see your card too.
Until next post, have fun stamping!
