Happy Monday! This week I will be playing with the Lighting The Way stamp set and dies. Keeping it simple first up is this Thanks for Lighting the Way card.

I am not fully stocked yet so with limited supplies of the new colours, I am doing things a little creatively. For example, I only have 2 sheets of Lost Lagoon card stock, so I have to make it last a bit until I get my full pack of A4 (24 sheets).
Card making tip: Since only a tiny border of the card base will be seen, instead of using a full card base of Lost Lagoon, use Basic White, and colour the edges Lost Lagoon ink with a blending brush.
I added a bit of interest to the card front by blending Lost Lagoon colour on the Lost Lagoon card front for more tone on tone look. Using the blending brush, work your colour in from the edges toward the centre. I also added some shimmer to the card by flicking Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush over the card front - although I may have done it a little over enthusiastically today. 😆
Introducing the LIGHTING THE WAY stamp set and dies set
To tell the truth, I was drawn to the Lighting The Way Dies first because of the hurricane lamp. I am always drawn to such things as fairy lights and lanterns. There are actually 14 dies including fireflies and greenery so this dies set will be quite versatile to create unique, fun filled cards.
With or without the dies, the Lighting The Way stamp set is awesome with a mixture of images and sentiments included.
As mentioned above, this week I will be sharing cards made with this duo of stamps and dies. Be sure to join me in this week's Lighting The Way Class To Go.
Until next post, have fun stamping!
