Happiest of Birthdays with Flower and Field Designer Series Paper

Love me a happy card!

Happy New Year - 2021, here we are! It's summer here in New Zealand, and what says happy more than a field of daisies? This card features the daisy paper which is from the Flower and Field Designer Series Paper (one of the Sale-a-bration free items with every $110 purchase).

Did I say it's summer here? That means hot, hot, hot. It means we might not be able to stay indoors and craft much, so quick and easy cards it will have to be. But don't be fooled, quick and easy doesn't mean boring! Stampin' Up! has lots of products that will just add that little bit of fun, that little bit of panache to your crafting. This daisy card uses a beautifully designed paper, a stitched rectangle (a little detail that packs a punch), a simple greeting but with stylised font that is also whimsical, and that cute little ladybug trinket - adorable ain't it just!!!

Michelle's Top Tip today:
When you already have the supplies out, and the design is quick and easy, make multiple cards. Papers - there are many, so don't hoard them - just chop them up and use them and spread the love. So many people will be blessed with your happy cards! With that said, here are a few more cards, showcasing the different papers from the same Flower and Field DSP.

The following three cards use the Rip and Flip technique - take your piece of paper cut to your desired size allowing a bit more length (for a portrait style cards like the ones shown here). At about the start of the bottom third of the paper, start ripping across the paper, then flip it and layer both pieces on your card base. You have thus set the backdrop of your card - now embellish it! You can keep the cards monochromatic by stamping the sentiment in the colour of your papers (Bumblebee above, and Just Jade, Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce for the following cards).

Here, I have kept the ripping theme by ripping the card stock around the sentiment. Add the polka dot ribbon bow to go with the polka dot side of the DSP at the bottom.

Here, let's try the ribbon bow in a different spot!

Here, let's go with more whimsical, angle the cardstock that the sentiment was stamped on.

Until next post, have fun stamping!
