For Monochromatic Monday this week, my project is in Flirty Flamingo.
With my chosen colour, Flirty Flamingo, I decided to use the feather image from Tasteful Touches as my focal point. I stamped the feather three times:
- with Flirty Flamingo Ink pad on Basic White card stock
- with Sahara Sand Ink pad then coloured in with Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends
- with Versamark Ink on Flirty Flamingo card stock.
I used the alcohol blending on vellum technique to make the Flirty Flamingo background. If you are not familiar with that technique, check out my post here. I made a very unprofessional and unedited video here too...well, we all had to start somewhere eh...
Now I had splattered some Wink of Stella but unfortunately the photo hasn't picked up the glitter and lovely shine. The sentiment, from Peaceful Moments, is stamped with Versamark Ink on Flirty Flamingo card stock and white embossed.
For the card base, I simply made lines on Basic White card stock with both the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends. It doesn't need to be straight lines, just free hand it.
After I put the card together, as seen in the first picture above, I decided I would like to add some more splatter, this time with Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Write Marker. It is always a risk - what if I don't like that? Well, once it's done, it can't be undone! So here is the not so clean version.
