Happy Monday, and as promised, here's my Catalogue CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) card using our product highlight of the week: Grassy Grove Cling stamp set as well as coordinating Grove Dies.
Let's take a look again at the card sample on page 85 in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue designed by Kaitlyn Zumbach.
In my CASE, I have retained most of Kaitlyn's design. The biggest thing I "edited" is the colour palette. I was attempting to do fall/autumn colours so I started out with cutting the woodland die from Grove Dies in Pumpkin Pie card stock. To add dimension to the plain Pumpkin Pie card stock, I blended with a concoction of colours (Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow) - however, I did one extra step hoping that I have something to use for another card.
I rolled some washi tape so it acts like double sided tape and then placed a Basic White card stock under the Pumpkin Pie card stock.
When I was happy with the colours, I removed the Basic White card stock - for the card I make for tomorrow's project share - fingers crossed! Right, so now we are back on track with CASEing the original card. I stamped the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie which I must say, is a colour I don't use very much, so it makes for a lovely change.
I am super happy with my CASE card. The colour palette is not my usual, even though I don't oppose to it. That is another benefit of CASEing, because in copying, I could easily decide what one element I wanted to change instead of coming up with a whole card design!
Have you CASEd a card lately? Do you regularly CASE? I hope you have been inspired to CASE!
