Well, the No Matter The Weather Card Kit is not in our printed catalogue but in our online store. So technically this is not a CASE of the Catty - we'll make an exception today. The card I CASEd from is one of the three card designs in the All In One Card Kit which the stamp set is included in.
What did I Copy and what did I Edit?
1) the flowers in my card replaced the gumboots in the original card
2) I used similar colours for the flowers as the gumboots
3) I stamped words instead of raindrops on the Balmy Blue background
Isn't that fun? CASEing is a highly recommended practice in the card making community. Sometimes you just love the card that someone made so much that you don't want to change anything. That is ok! Sometimes, you want to experiment with different colours or you want to use a different stamp set or...that in the end your card may not even look anything like the original card you were CASEing from. That's ok too! The point is, you have permission to either copy directly or use someone else' card as an inspiration for your card. You do not have to come up with an idea yourself, so if you are a beginner stamper, don't put that pressure on yourself! Just give credit to the person you CASEd from, especially if you copied as is (ie you didn't change anything).

Stampin' Up! Card Kits are an easy entry point for beginner stampers because the kit includes everything you need (except a pair of scissors) to make the cards shown in the kit.
