Even though there was a lot going on on the card, it really is quite simple, in that the only techniques I used were to use dies and embossing folders. I went for a White on White card as I really wanted the Gold to feature. Now a trick I learned about making a White card is to add interest via texture. I used three different embossing folders for this card. The shimmer white layer was embossed with the Merriest Frames folder which will become available again in the Jul-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue. The Subtles 3D (retired) embossed circle was from my #scrapsoffthedesk pile but you can substitute it with the current Tasteful Textile folder (#152718). The vellum layer embossed with Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder (#155434), with the vellum again adding a subtle but definite interest to this white card. That intricate circle die is from the Encircled in Beauty Dies (#155546)
My parents just celebrated their Golden Anniversary - 50 years of marriage is an incredible feat!
When thinking about the card to make for them, I knew I wanted to have gold in it, but beyond that anything goes. In the end it was the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge this week #GDP326 that provided me with a direction to take the card.
The fifty was cut out from the retired Large Numbers Dies - I am holding on to these dies because I always have need for number dies! The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments (#151595) and heat embossed in Gold. Add in gold trim from Simply Elegant Trim pack (#155766) and some Gilded Gems (#152478) for the finishing touches.
Those Large Number Dies are great for making your own cake topper too!
Here’s a small reel of the Golden Couple 😁
I hope you are inspired to go make a white on white card! Until next post, happy stampin! With blessings, M xx
