Let's take another look at the original card and chat about how I "Copy And Selectively Edited."
I love how Christa offset the stripe pattern paper from Bright & Beautiful 6"x6" Designer Series Paper so I copied that. I used the same pattern paper, only I decided to have the stripes go horizontal rather than vertical. I also wanted to accentuate the green from the stems so I used Parakeet Party card base instead of Basic White. Another obvious way I have "edited" is I decided to create a "window" so I used one of the dies from Something Fancy Dies and then I raised the panel with Foam Adhesive Strips. I also adhered the Smoky Slate card stock to a Foam Adhesive sheet before diecutting the word "Sending".
And that is the result of CASEing the Catalogue. So if you are new to card making or are wanting to develop your hobby and try new styles, I highly recommend our catalogues for ideas - we have amazing concept artists and designers! Pick a card and then Copy it entirely (if you are absolutely new) or with a bit of experience and confidence, Selectively Edit (perhaps just start with picking one element to change). It's such an adventure for me - and the end result is neither better nor worse than the original card, just different, and most definitely, has a bit of "me" in it xx
