Sweet Strawberry Blessings Surprise Birthday Card

How fun to open a card and be greeted with this strawberry cake surprise! Click here to see the list of supplies used My inspiration for this card came from a fellow demonstrator Heejung Hunsberger, only I made it a three tier cake with no window on the card front. This is the way CASE works - it stands for Copy and Selectively Edit. Sometimes a CASE is pretty much a straight duplicate; sometimes one changes the colours or stamps used; other times one changes the orientation of the card or instead of a circle element a square shape is used. Still other times, like this one, it takes on another form altogether.  The white "cake" layers were embossed with Subtles 3D embossing folder, reminscent of cake icing. The strawberries were fussy cut out of the FREE Sale-a-bration Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper.  The candles are stamped from another FREE Sale-a-bration item called Approaching Perfection. The blue paper is also from the Berry Delightful DSP - it reminds me of a co...

Sale-a-bration with Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper

Create this beautiful card with a large greeting, beautiful FREE paper and some ink! Click here to see the list of supplies I used This is my lazy time poor version of Jennifer Frost @thecraftycarrotco card. I cheated by skipping the bubble stamping technique she did. After masking and sponging with Seaside Spray and Soft Sea Foam (using our amazing new Blending Brushes), I used a sponge dauber to daub on polka dots of Petal Pink.    Michelle's Top Tips Today:   I love Jenn's tip on fussy cutting out some of the words stamped in a different ink - this way, you can tuck the flowers under the sentiment. The flowers were fussy cut from the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper which you can get for FREE with any qualifying purchase of $110. This Sale-a-bration promotion ends at the end of February though so don't wait! (ps: the reverse of the paper I used to cut the flowers from is the background I used to take the above picture of my card on.) Now the colours I used to sponge...

Birthdays Found To Be Good For Health

It's Sale-a-bration (SAB) time so I have combined two SAB free stamps to showcase on this card!   Click here for the list of supplies I used   -The sentiment is from the SAB Approaching Perfection stamp set The wonky donkey is of course from the SAB Darling Donkeys stamp set - you can select either stamp set for free with qualifying order of $110 during January and February 2021. Want both? No problem, as during Sale-a-bration, you get a free "level 1" gift for every $110 you spend.    For the inside of the card, Hee Haw is from Darling Donkeys and Happy Birthday and the candles are from the Approaching Perfection stamp set. I taught this card to my first 2021 class, as you can see, the attendees had fun with varying the placement of the sentiment/image cluster. I will be teaching this again in a few days' time. -Michelle's Top Tips Today:    1. I have also used the Pattern Play stamp set from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. This is one of those sets you ma...

Happiest of Birthdays with Flower and Field Designer Series Paper

Love me a happy card! Click here to see the list of supplies Happy New Year - 2021, here we are! It's summer here in New Zealand, and what says happy more than a field of daisies? This card features the daisy paper which is from the Flower and Field Designer Series Paper (one of the Sale-a-bration free items with every $110 purchase).   Did I say it's summer here? That means hot, hot, hot. It means we might not be able to stay indoors and craft much, so quick and easy cards it will have to be. But don't be fooled, quick and easy doesn't mean boring! Stampin' Up! has lots of products that will just add that little bit of fun, that little bit of panache to your crafting. This daisy card uses a beautifully designed paper, a stitched rectangle (a little detail that packs a punch), a simple greeting but with stylised font that is also whimsical, and that cute little ladybug trinket - adorable ain't it just!!! Michelle's Top Tip today: When you already have the su...
