Forever Fern in Basic Gray for Monochromatic Monday

Today's Monochromatic Monday card share features Basic Gray.   Click here for supplies list     Forever Fern is seen normally in greens and browns, naturally; but it is quite stunning too done in the neutrals such as Basic Gray. I CASEd Mary Haugen who made her card in Crumb Cake. What colour would you make your card in?  I have used the Thinking of You sentiment from Peaceful Moments as I think then this card can be used for a sympathy card, but equally as a birthday card, or as a "I just want to let you know you're in my thoughts today" kinda card.  And for a change, I actually remembered to take a photo of the inside of the card...     Thank you for visiting today, and I hope you are inspired to use Basic Gray in your next card       Why Monochromatic Monday?   Did you know Stampin' Up! offers at least 50 colours for all your creative work? All with coordinating card stock, ink pads and markers, and some/most with Stampin' Blends, ribbons and embellis

Flowers of Friendship in Polished Pink for Monochromatic Monday

Joining in on The Torn Paper Card trend...and loving it in this Polished Pink look!   Click here for the supplies list I have white embossed the floral image from Flowers of Friendship stamp set on Polished Pink card stock. To add interest to the card, I used the Blending Brush to blend in more Polished Pink ink on the card, heavier on the edges and lighter towards the middle of the card. I smooshed a small clear block onto the white craft ink pad then used the water painter to pick up the ink and splash it all over the card.  The effect is a mixture of water droplets and white ink splotches on the card.  With the tearing, I recommend you do it slowly and carefully - that way you have more control.  I blended some Early Espresso Ink onto the Basic White card to give it that vintage look to go with the old torn feel of the card.   Thank you for visiting today. Let me know if you have a go with this card style.  Why Monochromatic Monday?   Did you know Stampin' Up! offers at leas

Biggest Wish in Gray Granite for Monochromatic Monday

Today's Monochromatic Monday Card is in Gray Granite!   Click here for Supplies List     Big word stamps such as those in the Biggest Wish stamp set are great to create a nice simple background. I was inspired by a card I saw Lisa Curcio and her daughter made. I cut the pot from a die in Perfect Plants Dies in Basic Black card stock. I stamped the string of pearls plant from Plentiful Plants stamp set in Mossy Meadow (as it is in the neutral family so it's kosher to use on a Gray Granite Monochromatic Card). The Gray Granite card stock layer is embossed with the pine needles embossing folder that is one of two folders included in the Wintry 3D Mini Embossing Folders . The Happy Birthday sentiment I used is from a retired set, but for a similar style that is from a current stamp set, I suggest you consider the Waves of Inspiration stamp set . Finally, I resisted putting rhinestones on the card, but yep, I can't help but added a piece of Gray Granite twine from the Baker&#

Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder Standing Pop Up Card

This sweet Standing Pop Up card is one of the cards I will be teaching in my August card classes.   Click here for the Supplies List     The Tree Rings is a Hybrid Embossing Folder - that means it is an Embossing Folder that also comes with Dies! Now, I had a little surprise when I opened it up for the first time - I was so focussed on the Tree Rings when I saw it in the July - December Mini Cataloguethat I hadn't realised it comes with lots of leaves and branches dies too!    Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder     We only have a few more weeks left to earn the Sale-A-Bration Rings Of Love 12"x12" Designer Series Paper so I wanted to feature it in class this month. I have only made this one sample, so I am looking forward to seeing how the card looks with each of the different designs in the paper pack. Hopefully I will remember to take a picture of each card in class - I will post on my Instagram and Facebook pages, so be sure to look out for those.     As always, if y

Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper - wow, wow, wow! Why, of course I just have to design a DIY Card Kit using this amazing set of papers! Texture Chic Pool Party for Monochromatic Monday Card

Today's Monochromatic Monday colour is Pool Party - one of my favourite go-to colours Click here for the Supplies List   This card design is featured in my newly released DIY Card Kit with Texture Chic Designer Series Paper.  The Texture Chic Designer Series Paper is possibly my favourite DSP in the current Annual Catalogue. This whole Texture Chic Suite Collection is a delight to work with. It saves so much time as each sheet of the 12"x12" Designer Series paper is a masterpiece of texture, making it look so easy to make this shabby chic card. The Season of Chic stamp included in this Collection Suite is a must have in your stash I reckon, it has a variety of sayings and images making it a very versatile stamp set to have. Add in the Chic Dies (also in the Suite Collection), and you have a winner - what's not to like about the crosshatch die huh? If you are still not convinced (really?!), then you could have a sampling, if you like, by getting my DIY Card Kit wit
