Remarkable You with Neutral DSP Stack and Petite Petal Punch

Quick and Easy card using discarded pieces from various projects. This card is all about layers - and shapes (we got a circle, a banner, a square frame, and some flowers). It took quite a bit of deliberation as to what colour the mat should be. In the end I decided that either Crushed Curry or Tangerine Tango and even  a Pear Pizzazz mat would take the focus off the "daffodil". So I settled on using Crumb Cake as the sentiment was stamped with Crumb Cake. What do you think? The sentiment by the way is from the Remarkable You stamp set which is on special this week .  Until Tuesday 29th September, it is only $40.50 for the Clear Mount set.  Thanks again for visiting my blog, and until next time, Happy Stampin'! Blessings,  Michelle xx

Remarkable You Corner Flip Card

Fancy fold cards are one of my favourites to make, and I realise that I haven't actually done many of them lately. Actually, make that, "for a long while!" At the recent Creative Inkers Team's July Extravaganza in Auckland, we made five projects and one of them is the Corner Flip card (see pic below). This look is actually easier to create than you think, and if you want to learn how to make it, you are welcomed to come along to my Monthly class tomorrow. For the card above, I went with the classic black and white theme, with a bit of colour. I had a leftover water coloured Remarkable You flower from two weeks ago which was the perfect focal point I needed for the card. The end result looks very different to the original (pic below) that I CASED from. I am ok with that. More importantly, I feel so satisfied with my little black and white number ;-) And it is perfect for entry into the Stampin Royalty Challenge #290. SR#290 Auckland Extravaganza ...

Watercolouring with Remarkable You

Julie's Water Coloured Card 1 Today's post will be short and sweet and a feast for the eyes for I will be showing off these wonderful cards made by my Friday stamp class gals. All except Julie, are newbies to water colouring in card making, but I seriously do not think you would have guessed that when you see their work here. Julie is our resident water colouring expert, but she is leaving our group (sob sob!) because she is relocating to Tauranga. All the best my dear friend - we will be visiting you I am sure! At last Friday's surprise dessert night cum craft class, Julie kindly led us all into the world of water colouring. What can I say... there was an incredible sense of pride from each person of what they achieved that night. Water colouring is good for the soul!
