Stampin' With Michelle Pepper

There were a couple of news/announcement from Stampin' Up! last week but I had been busy with little guests in our home so I didn't quite get this blog up to date - my sincere apologies. Without further ado, let me tell you what you are seeing in the above picture.  Today's cards were CASEd from the original Congratulations card that is actually on page 104 of the Annual Catalogue . Remember, Stampin' Up! Catalogues aren't just catalogues; they are ideas books too! And there are lots of different ways to CASE (Copy And Share Everything): an exact replica, or changed, in other words, personalised, by using different supplies, and/or different colours and/or added or removed embellishments, changed orientation, etc. For the card above and the next two below, I have used the same layout, but I have changed the sentiments, the DSP and the embellishments.  Now the colour combination used in the cards above are all inspired by the very sweet Lullaby DSP,...

I have heard it said that Sympathy Cards, for some, are hard to make when there is need for one, so the recommendation is to make them when there's no actual need for one.  This week I needed to make one :-( I found the design process actually quite a special time. As hard as it was to believe that life can slip away so suddenly, even when it wasn't unexpected, the reality is, we are confronted with the undeniable fact that now this life doesn't exist anymore in this world. While making this card, I found myself wrapped up in the thoughts of who this person was, the beauty within and without, and of all the many different ways she would be missed by all who knew her. These thoughts guided the design elements of the card. At one point I felt to use bright colours because when you saw Billie's smile, and she always smiled, you can't help but feel happiness and joy, that your day was brightened somehow. In the end I chose the muted pinks and yellows with...

Remember this Never Ending Card that I first blogged about last year ? I am sure I have done more than one of these since then, but just didn't blog about it?  Oh well, here is one hot of the press - the first page is above, then it opens out to the second page as below: I absolutely love the way the faux watercolouring turned out on the two Whisper White base panels. All I did was colouring the size E acrylic block with our Stampin' Write Markers in the colours of the retired Gingham Garden DSP which was Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Melon Mambo. I then spritz water generously over the block. Press the block very firmly on to the Whisper White base, and leaving it on a few seconds before lifting it - and presto, I have my own watercolour DSP! The scripture verses used are from Say It With Scriptures and Elegant Inspirations, also retired sets. The third page has a sentiment from the Just Believe stamp set (also retired, sorry!) And here is the fina...

This item has a 25% discount on this week's deal so I thought you might want to see it in action. It is so awesome that Stampin' Up! made this video to give you an idea of what it is. This die will make the DIY favour boxes for your next event (birthday, hens' night, baby shower, wedding, women's event for the community) that much easier to do. You can also alter this basic purse shape to others that would make it suitable for masculine events, eg I have seen toolboxes, picnic baskets, and backpacks made with this die. The sale price of $50.96 ends on the night of Tuesday 19th August. So, email me at peppertime123@gmail.com to take advantage of this fabulous offer.
