Under My Umbrella - Those Red Gumboots!

You can see all the supplies I used here (including all the basic items such as adhesives).

The winter weather is definitely upon us now here in New Zealand...and the winter sports season is finally kicking off. For a while there, we thought there would be no sports in 2020 because of Covid19. Well, a lot of us are thankful that it is all back on. For me, as a keen supporter of my four boys who all play football, this means out comes my red polka dot pair of gumboots to keep me dry and clean on the wet and muddy fields. Thinking of my red gumbies of course inspired me to use the Under My Umbrella stamp set for a card, so ta-da!

I taught this card in the first of my June Classes and here is a variation some of my ladies created.

Michelle's Top Tips Today:

1: Small images stamped all over can make for a DIY playful patterned paper.

2: Sponging is a quick way of adding colour to the background. For this card, it started out as a Whisper White card stock. After I have stamped the images on, and coloured them in,  I then sponged lightly with Balmy Blue ink.

Your Turn:

Now, I wonder what images from what stamp sets will you be using to create your own wonderful patterned paper? Alternatively, what colour would you colour your gumboots and umbrella? As always, if you have any questions, I am happy to help you.

Until next post, have fun stamping!
