The Bloom Where You're Planted Suite in the Annual Catalogue is a must for plant lovers. I think especially too for the wannabe gardeners like me - you can get all the benefits of gardening with none of the drawbacks—no weeding or watering required. LOL.

Today, I want to just focus on the Designer Series Paper (DSP) in this suite. These are 12"x12" paper, with two sheets of each double sided patterned paper.  You can see all 12 designs here but of course it is always better in person.

If a whole 12" x 12" paper is overwhelming, then chop it down to a smaller size. For example, cut it down to a 6" x 6" or a 4" x 6" size.

My projects today is to show you how you can you use this DSP as the Hero of your cards. The pot plants were fussy cut out of one of the DSP - yes, that's right, I didn't have to stamp nor colour them!

For these two cards, I have used the Rip and Flip technique I talked about here - only in this case, instead of ripping, I used the trimmer and make a straight/clean cut.

Card base: Basic White 10.5cm x 14cm
DSP: Start with 3-1/2" x 5" cut in half so that you have two pieces of 3-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Use a circle die cut to "ground" or highlight the pot plants. Add a sentiment of your choice.

After you have cut the 3-1/2" strip in the previous card from the 6"x6" paper, you are left with a 2-1/2" strip. Cut a square (2-1/2" x 2-1/2") from this left over strip. Then cut this square into halves both ways to get four little squares for the card below. Arrange as desired and stick on to the stirched rectangle die cut and stamp your sentiment. Easy as card to make.

If you like the paper I featured today, you can buy it from my online shop here. The paper is part of a suite so you may wish to upgrade and get the whole suite of paper, stamp sets, dies, and paper lattice - check it out here.
