Heart and Home Memories and More Card Pack for #GDP324 Challenge

I love Memories and More card packs!

I think the first thing I purchase from every new Stampin' Up! catalogue is the Memories and More card pack on offer. Typically it contains a variety of 4x6 cards and 3x4 cards and some sticker sheets. For $21 (NZD), I think it is a very affordable card making option.

This is a straightforward card, making it suitable for those who are time poor to be creative without compromise. I used our fabulous paper snips to cut out the centre of the 3x4 card from the Heart and Home Memories and More Card Pack. This nested nicely inside the frame that is on the green 4x6 card, also from the same pack. I jazzed the card up using the cues from the Global Design Project Challenge #324 - rectangle layers (Pool Party Cardsock and Pool Party Sheer Ribbon), twine (Linen thread) and embellishments (Bumblebee trinket and Elegant Faceted Gems). That little wildflower on the twine is a sticker, also from the Heart and Home Memories and More Card Pack.

The Global Design Project has weekly challenges that I like to participate in if I can. One thing about me is I can overthink and thus spend far too much time deliberating all the different options one has when one sits down to make a card. Challenges are great because it can bring some kind of structure and narrow down one or two elements. This week for GDP#324, it was a CASE the designer challenge.

For the inside of the card, I took the opportunity to ink up the new Amazing Silhouettes stamp set, also  from the January - June Mini Catalogue

You can of course leave the inside blank so you can write more. Card making trivia: in the world of card making, there's a saying that a handmade card could be a full on three course meal - the stamped envelope is the entree, the outside of the card is the main course, and then the inside of the card is the dessert. 😆

I hope you enjoyed getting the deets on how I made this beautiful card today. If you are in Auckland, come join me stamping - my classes are suitable for all levels of card making. If you prefer online classes, let me know as that is what I am hoping to offer more going forward. If you have a growing wish list (I don't blame you - Stampin' Up! has amazing products!), now during Sale-a-bration (till the end of February) you get to get Free items. If your wish list is enormous (if it totals to more than $189), then my dear, I highly recommend you to join my team!

Until next post, have fun stamping!
